Facebook generation incapable of relationships

  • puunshinejalix, on 07/03/2008, -0/+0Firstly , he is a psychiatrist. I am pretty pissed as at the presentation at Imperial college yesterday he wasn't targeting facebook or myspace at all. What he said was the whole experience of the virtual world was confusing to the INNER world of the generation post 1990. He pointed out that psychiatrist needed to wisen up and learn fast about this aspect of their patients life as it was a s real and as important to them as somebody who they play with at school. There exists a huge gap in the understanding and acceptance between the facebook genearation and the people who have become pals with internet only in thier 20's or 30s. For the older generation, its an extention of their world but for young poepl born into the internet era- it is what they know!
    Ofcourse, there is nothing wrong with social networking!
