The History of Computing in 4 Minutes and 8-Bits watch!
vimeo.com — Here’s a really neat video all about the history of computing. Usually, one would be hard pressed to compact all that information into a simple little lecture but amazingly the “Superbrothers” have managed to squish it into a four minute video. “Schoolhouse Rock!“…eat your heart out.

- sadsadrobot, on 09/29/2008, -6/+86Um, it just flashed words at me... Not really a history lesson.
- xtraa, on 10/23/2008, -0/+1Except the guys in the vid reminds me of two Adolf Hitlers.
- mikesbaker, on 09/29/2008, -14/+14I have no idea what the hell that was but I really liked it.

- iamtrist, on 09/29/2008, -3/+1brilliant - loved Children of the clones too
- quidpro, on 09/29/2008, -0/+23More cute than informative. Not what I was expecting based on description. I think Schoolhouse DID actually have lessons to convey after all... :(
- sephiroth965, on 09/29/2008, -0/+18meh.
- cwmather, on 09/29/2008, -2/+8I'm pretty sure I saw this on Dr. Katz like 10 years ago.
- mrbradg, on 09/29/2008, -3/+16Cool way to look at computing but I want my 4 mins back.
- jakeny, on 09/29/2008, -1/+14Eh

- Overcyn, on 09/29/2008, -2/+1the other one, children of the clone, is much better although a bit long. i really wish stage6 was still around i bet this would look great hi res
- scabbers, on 09/29/2008, -0/+27Almost ruined by the retarded digg description (thanks, mrbabyman). Works fine as an art animation... kind of reminds me of a fun 4k intro or something. Not a history lesson of any kind.
- Railoc, on 09/29/2008, -1/+25Digg title is really misleading. It was neat and all, but it was hardly a history of computing.
- cmedley, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1Dugg for Jim Guthrie.
One of Canada's greatest talents. - iamgreg007, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3Dugg just for the soundtrack and the dude rolling up his 8-bit sleeves
- BoneStamp, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3I want a machine that has lots of LEDs that blink in sequence, it need not do anything productive -- in fact, that is preferable.
- farfromsubtl, on 09/29/2008, -0/+4Holy anticlimax Batman!
- drethedog, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2Mediocre...
- dtfinch, on 09/29/2008, -1/+9The end boss looks hard.
- jeksterr, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3what the hell did i just watch
- dexedrine, on 09/29/2008, -5/+10Buried for MrBabyMan...
- sdcarter, on 09/29/2008, -1/+1"Bow before the almighty cloud?" So they have high opinions of Mobile Me?
- chrisrowe, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1Superbrothers did some of the tracks of the Dreamcasts JetSetRadio too. Check them out if you can.
- SuperTonic, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3The tune is far superior to the vid.
- SubjectiveC, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3It has nothing to do with computing, but I liked it for being quirky and well done.
Unrelated note: Did MrBabyMan change his screen avatar in hopes that people would not notice it was him and bury/***** beforehand?- yacks, on 09/29/2008, -0/+3and he's trying to get the Obama diggs as well.. ;)
- cyrusuncc, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2The Cloud = Skynet

- glenboarder99, on 09/29/2008, -0/+0Love the music And the visuals
- Madhattan, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1Really cool. Those comps look like old school Dell Dimensions to me.
- ChuckieBallz, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1That just reminded me of the old Lucas Arts games like Monkey Island... weird
- TheKorn2, on 09/29/2008, -0/+2Lame on SOOOO many levels. Not even deinterlaced properly, which is amazing considering it's trying to look 8-bit. I was wondering how this crap got voted up, then saw, of course, Mr.BabyMan's fan army voted it up.
- satalight, on 09/29/2008, -1/+0Wait, how many levels??
- r2builder, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1I think the interlacing was intentional.
- irisblaze, on 09/29/2008, -0/+0ok that was cool, but that's to computing history as fish to flowers.
- Nat3r, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1 computer
- history

what i just witnessed - Firax, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1Now turn this into a game!
- JshMRsn, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1Oh I see.
Wait what? - superbrothers, on 09/30/2008, -0/+0Industry insiders and people 'in the know' are describing this film as 'hideous' and are connecting the film's runaway success to societal effects of the worldwide economic meltdown. The film itself has been described as 'another pathetic attempt to warn people of the rise of the machines'. Apparently intended first and foremost as educational material, the film has since been dismissed as 'inacurrate' and 'misleading'
- enterneo, on 09/30/2008, -0/+1MyBabyMan is having a tough time lately...
- ikno, on 09/30/2008, -0/+0I dont get it
- potatomato, on 10/01/2008, -0/+2That might be the greatest thing I've ever seen.
Awesome.
Totally high, though... - bdbElysian, on 10/02/2008, -0/+1Awesome
- brettalton, on 10/12/2008, -0/+1I this was going to be a doc, not a music video...
Pretty creative in its weird manner though... - kgdoom, on 10/27/2008, -0/+1Cool animation, but lamest interpretation of "the cloud" yet. It's not a big machine you tards.
