Washington DC latest to drop Microsoft for web apps

I found that even pretty basic word processing stuff I might wanna do was beyond the scope of these sites. Shame. Maybe 2 years from now it will be suitable for the likes of me.

- cards, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3My main interest is avoiding any one office suite being THE office suite, like MS Office is now. At my job, we're forced to use MS Office because all of our clients use it, and my bosses are not willing to run ANY risk of documents not being rendered identically at both ends. Open document formats are what we really need to standarize.
