          Most of the time it's a bit boring and not dance-club friendly. Of course, lyrics are usually positive and intelligent, but people get hooked on the overall sound, not lyrics, which is where these artists usually fail.
          I can't believe I hear Soulja boy here in Japan, in department stores, even at electro dance parties. Don't think the Japanese kewl-kidz know how overplayed and annoying that song is/was in the US.

This video was juvenile, classless, and highlights everything that Ice-T was fighting against when he made his comment. If this punk ass is the future of hip hop, when he can barely speak English, and the wittiest thing he can come up with is "you old as hell *****," then yes, the industry really is doomed.

I'm not the biggest Curse ov Dialect fan myself, but I know a few folks who really dig them. Taste varies...I enjoy Aesop Rock's more sane works like Labor Days, but I haven't really found an appreciation for Bazooka Tooth yet.

          However, Thethyrday has awesome beats and rhymes, and they have a new-old sound. There is nothing not awesome about them.

      But if you sit down, and listen to about the second half of the video, he makes very valid points. Basically he is saying what is the point of Ice-T going out and talking ***** about this kid, just because he happened to be successful. He was poor, llike Ice-T, and now he is able to support his family off his spontaneous success, and feels very offended that someone he respected so much just turns around and disses him, after he was successful and brought his family from poverty into living a good life.

      He makes very valid points.

      Just because people like what he did, doesn't mean HE killed Hip-hop. He was successful, and probably works his ass off (don't give me that ***** that artists don't work.. touring isn't neccessarily easy, even tho the perks are nice :P) He changed the life of him and his family, for the better. He made a huge impact on the people he loved and the people around him. What is there to just randomly talk ***** about?

      I'm not trying to say that hip-hop is bad; I myself actually listen to some older stuff and I really enjoy listening to a lot of trip hop and ambient music, but after being around the block a few years, I can definitely say that hip-hop doesn't really take much skill.
