Top Digger Banned From Digg

lizblaze.blogspot.com — I'm sad to announce that one of the top Diggers (cGt2099) have been officially banned from Digg. It really sucks because he is one of the few who actually submitted good quality contents.

bariswheel, on 11/05/2007, -1/+5I was also banned for submitting this article, which actually became pretty hot, and pissed off some of the staff, I did mention the extension in other threads, and it was effectively considered spam. Though, I also think the content of the article had something to do with it, as modifying the UI is probably something Kevin Rose is sensitive about.

It's possible to become unbanned, but you really really have to work for it.

On the subject of the picture, My finance actually was just mentioning an outdoor wedding, and thought a beach might be a good idea.... I'm thinking a park or manor might be a better idea :)

On the drill down, three of the top Diggers were talking about how they cannot stand people who game the Digg system. Also that they report Digg gamers. It is called policing our own. There are people who deserve to be banned, and people that don't. You just jump on some band wagon without know where the hell you going don't you? I know some of these people and I have had only 1 top story. What's that tell you? It is the content not who you know.

Let me correct you, the 0% rating is due to poor content submissions. If you check jcm267's Digg submissions, you'll see that nobody is digging them. It doesn't mean he's getting buried, it means NOBODY is digging his submissions.

Meta had a vid of this pizza delivery guy delivering to some topless college chicks and that was the promo snapshot that was on the front page.

I'm not the only one either, I've head plenty of others call in on the radio complaining of their own accounts being deleted without warning. If you are a banker in this world, you seem to be able to own everything, and traffic in men's integrity, buying them off as well as their companies as you persescute the truth and put up error in the place thereof.

As for Digg, I'm apparently on a permanent "submit it and by default it's counted as spam" list. A little more time might prove this a worthless site of endless censorship.

Too many children now are having their innocence trashed at a young age where they are made to obsess over that which they should know but little until they mature---evidence of this sickness and loss of innocence is everywhere, and the coming destructive power will be felt as uncontrolled, unbridled, pornography saturated minds turn upon each other in debauchery that we read of in the "Fall of the Roman Empire" by Gibbons.

Great ire however burns withing me over political censorship which is not excusable in my mind.

I don't think they should have banned him, that's really excessive, but delete it and issue a warning. That's the reasonable way to deal with these things.
