ChunkIt smooths out the search experience
venturebeat.com — Anthony Ha tests and reports on new search tool- ChunkIt- coming out of beta tonight- He says: The basic idea behind ChunkIt is to provide more relevant information about each search result so you're a lot more likely to know whether it is relevant without having to click through. They might even just get the information they need from the "chunks"

- josepatel, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5i've seen this before and i tried it again after reading this article, seems pretty cool. why hasn't someone thought of this before? and NO SAFARI?? what's that about? regardless, pretty cool product.
- ChaiTea0121, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5haha I absolutely love the NAME! CHUNKIT! The preview effect beforehand is pretty awesome. Ive never seen anything else like this before on the web. What other websites does it work on besides google and yahoo though?
- JillianDyer123, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6This product freaked me out! When the page split in half I was like what is going on. But overall I can see how useful it is.
- Americanwhiner, on 10/09/2008, -0/+6Many thanks. We need all the help we can get! So much to read.....so little time.
- nattygill, on 10/09/2008, -0/+5As a student I'm excited to start using this. A lot of the material for my classes is online and to be able to search through all that text... AMAZING!
- ihatesubway, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4I tried this product a couple months back and I didn't really get the use of it. Then I checked out their demo videos, and now I use this product daily for my research! Great firefox add-on to have!
- BonitaLatina, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3One of my favorite firefox add-ons to have.
- lefty1717, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3Hey thats a good idea... im surprised no one has thought of something like that yet.

- hawtdate77, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4dugg for the example vids on the chunkit website. funny
- macaronie88, on 10/09/2008, -0/+4chunkit is a weird name... but seems like a very useful tool for research
- jennar123, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3Interesting searching idea. Not sure how useful the Chunk page is (its a lot like control F) but the other stuff is great. Especially on sparknotes...Yay for not having to actually read!
- Hess10, on 10/09/2008, -0/+3chunk page is better than control F because it returns more relevant results. the terms or ideas you're searching for may not appear in the exact phrasing or order you remember. its like, if you're looking for the phrase "mccain is old," F7 will only show you when that exact wording shows up. Chunk page will give you all the paragraphs that have the terms "mccain" and "old." and then, when you start searching through tons of links you get a load of good info
- jennar123, on 10/09/2008, -0/+1Thanks! I never thought about it like that! Super cool...

Regardless, the name of this product reminds me of college hangovers, not college research papers...
