- 2460 diggs
- digg it
- zone, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Try it out with this two feeds:
EZTV: http://tvrss.net/sources/eztv_m/
VTV: http://tvrss.net/sources/vtv/ - corbanbrook, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This is exactly what i was thinking about last week, glad to see that someone made this.
- nydan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Tivo for torrents! Wooo
- underoath_777, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This program is great, and its been just what I'm looking for.
A Definate Digg. - jondoe73, on 11/10/2007, -8/+5No linux version.
No Digg - gronne, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Awesome.
- karlfrankowski, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Wish there was a mac version...
- Napalm05, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Great program, just needs a linux version
- ryos, on 11/10/2007, -3/+2Cool concept! Will digg when Mac version comes out.
- epinephrine, on 10/19/2007, -7/+1Looks nice, but Windows only, no digg.
- AbaraiRenji, on 11/10/2007, -2/+1very cool, but... i'd hate to repeat what everyone is already saying, but it really needs a linux version!
- digdugdig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well, this is certainly interesting. Has anyone tried using it with Wine?
- timsze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This is awesome!! Anyone suggest more feeds to use with it?
- Marcelo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Crashes everytime I click the "Files" tab...anyone else?
- Civuck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Why not just build a BitTorrent client into it? How big is uTorrent these days? Complete solution.
- BoarK, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3You can achieve the same thing using regular expressions in Azureus. Azureus is way more powerful. It even allows you to move completed downloads to predefined directories.
- playedalive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2looks like a pretty sweet program only issue is i cant use tirrents on my network :(. someone PLEASE do the same thing for newsgroups.
- SNACKeR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Crashed for me on the Files tab too. Edit the .ini file and remove the paths for Files and Content (I think). Failing that, try deleting the .ini file altogether. I run it without setting those paths and it works fine.
- Nerfdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3well, this is infinitely easier than EZTV's version i submitted last week. neat.
- johnlocke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This works very nice with EZTV's feed. It's a cool combination with uTorrent.
- bootleg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Keeps crashing on me too.
- juicysauce, on 11/05/2007, -1/+11I can't believe people aren't digging this simply because there's not a Linux or Mac version. Here's an idea: Digg it and help push it onto Diggnation's radar. The more people that hear about this app, the greater greater demand there will be for Linux and Mac versions. Quit being so damned myopic.
- thereisnospoon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I completely agree with you juicysauce.
I'm tired of seeing 'No blah blah - no digg' type comments. - greeneggs614, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Nice app. Wish there was a Mac version. I still digg it!
- AbaraiRenji, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1dont assume i didnt digg it because theres no linux version.
- matt221984, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I agree with thereisnospoon, why do people feel the need to say F-you to the submitter with "no digg" comments.
PS, heres similar program for linux
http://tvtrss.sourceforge.net/
also if you use azureus might as well just get RSS Feed Scanner plugin and use the two feeds Zone submitted in the first comment. The plugin is just as powerful as TVTAD and eliminates an extra program. That is if you use azureus. - behindcurtain3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thanks for the link to the linux program matt
- CheshireCat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've been looking for something like this for awhile! Dugg.
- Jimmyjojojr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I have been looking for something like this for a while, thanks. Not had any crashes, yet, and again it works well with µTorrent (105 KB).
- gilbes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What does this do that the Azerus feed reader plugin doesn't? Well I geuss it good if you don't like Azerus.
- MrPaulAR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"looks like a pretty sweet program only issue is i cant use tirrents on my network :(. someone PLEASE do the same thing for newsgroups."
You mean like tvnzb.com? It's not fully automated as you'll need to manually download the nzb files then import them into some nzb downloader. - dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"No linux version.
No Digg"
Use WINE maybe? Dunno, not tried it
Anyway, usefull program :D
It'd be good if they ported it to Mac/Linux, incorprating a bittorrent client, I dunno, the way it works now is great.. It just wouldn't work IMHO..
- Ben - denied, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I KISS YOU. Good program, crashes on me too when I click on files. So I don't click there. :)
- M00nshadow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Great idea. Digg for a nice demonstration of what's possible.
Now make this and a linux RSS reader a MYTHTV module, and change the world! - antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I use the Azureus tv rss search plugin. I haven't switched over to mTorrent because of that plugin, but this program could change that. I'll give it a chance and also a digg.
- n3tfury, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1huge Digg, thx!
- BulkHedd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I know that Windows is FAR from great, but every time I see one of these and read all the comments about "no Linux version" and "where's the Mac version?" I have to admit there are SOME good things about being a Windows user. Rarely have I ever seen a program on Digg and had to wish there was a Windows version.
- junkfood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sounds interesting. I'll try it tonight. I use Azureus, but I can't figure out the RSS plug-in.
- janglehouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1when I search how many results should I expect? I did a query for Lost* and got back two shows.
- dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"when I search how many results should I expect? I did a query for Lost* and got back two shows."
The most recent one, but it shows it in two formats for some reason
"Now make this and a linux RSS reader a MYTHTV module, and change the world!"
..good idea
- Ben - Jcterveer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Linux Software... TV RSS
http://tvtrss.sourceforge.net/ - HypnotiQBen84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I've been had this, but they were on a long hiatus...thanks for reminding me they are back :o)
- michaelg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow... I was just planning to make a program like this.
- detrate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1http://tvtrss.sourceforge.net/ is sweet...
but I need a console version :-P
little help? - input, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1This really needs a Linux version.
- esteban, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Although I like the idea, it seems that the search is awful. You have to type in the exact name of the show you want else it does
not find it. No partial keyword matching.
Oh and for the man above who is either hillarious or stupid:
LINUX VERSION!!!!!!!!
===================================
http://tvtrss.sourceforge.net/
=================================== - Jonas01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Thank you all for supporting TVTAD.
And I can see there is a lot of people who want to see this program come in Linux and Mac, we are thinking about a Linux version, but a Mac version is a lot different.
And to answer the question about building a Torrent engin into TVTAD, that will not be done, simply because that will make the program illegal.
// JoNaS - TVTAD Admin - detrate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1JoNaS, can you consider making a console version for linux as well?
- jonatj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Diggin' this... Have had trouble with Azureus' RSS Import plugin, I hope this will be more user friendly.
- Jonas01, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Detrate, I am not the coder of this program, however if we will release a client, it wouldn't be to hard to release a gui and a console. Please stay tuned and use our forum for "suggestions", "bugs" and/or other related things: www.tvtad.com/forum/
