BitTorrent Entertainment Network disappoints, frustrates
engadget.com — t's no surprise that BitTorrent's new venture peddling movies, TV shows, and video game downloads has failed in the eyes of many a new user, including the fine folks at Ars Technica.

- fitzfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2 After just watching "Shark" on CBS' InnerTube, it reminded me just how pathetic the networks are. They will stream it for free on their website, with a few commercials, but it is low quality, it freezes up, its a huge pain to try to start at a certain point of the episode, and the commercials they play have the volume twice as loud as the show so i just mute it and read digg for the 30 seconds while it plays.
They need to let you download the shows, even if they use bit torrent to save costs, and let me watch their shows on trips, on an ipod, or on an AppleTV or other media center. I wouldn't mind paying $5-10 for a monthly pass to all of a networks shows if i could DOWNLOAD it, keep it on my hard drive, get it in higher quality, and use it how i wish. I wouldn't even mind if they still had some ads, or even a overlay of "this episode sponsored by Pepsi" or something. Instead I have to resort to DLing the shows illegally on Bittorrent and getting letters from Comcast telling me I am downloading copyright material. When I pirate the show, the networks lose twice, they don't get to count me as a viewer when they charge for ads, and i dont pay them for show.
Sure I can buy the shows off itunes, but at $2 a show, X 4 episodes a month, X 3 or 4 shows on that network, i am already at $30, nearly as much as i pay for cable to get all the networks plus more.
I thought the Bit Torrent sales would finally be what i was looking for, but it appears not.
