- blubegonia, on 09/23/2008, -2/+7hmmm, interesting. . .
- FreedomAmerica, on 09/24/2008, -5/+9I 100% agree, no non main stream media idea will ever make the front page. If you simply point out facts and repeat laws you are called crazy. I did a little experiment, I went to positive Obama post and quoted Obama and Biden and guess what happened, down dugg 15+ times. These people just like the people in every day life will respond to you violently when you say something that is outside of the programmed comfort zone.
This is why the Us is falling, and we will continue to fall until people wake up and realize the world is not as Fox news tells you. Digg is no different, only preferred posters will receive front page no matter how good of a article you write or find. I will admit I'm in a weird spot, I only post things we right ourselves, and Digg will not tolerate a blog or a independent website making front page. There is always only 1 truth, not ideas of what truth should be, only one.
"It takes the highest courage to utter unpopular truths." — Herbert Spencer "- InRussetShadows, on 09/24/2008, -0/+4And the one truth is that Fox news is very popular, because it is less liberally-biased than any other cable news source. That makes it more accurate and more real. It's time for you to wake up to the fact that the world according to Olbermann is not the real world, but one man's hateful and twisted fantasia.
- ThinkBox, on 09/24/2008, -1/+1Not to nitpick. but right ≠ write
- funkymonkey01, on 09/24/2008, -5/+13How can Wikipedia talk about misinformation?
- sfacets, on 09/24/2008, -0/+3...or conflicting interests of admins?
- ironpirate, on 09/24/2008, -4/+11If they can ban Huffpo articles, this site would be a lot better.
- benologist, on 09/24/2008, -1/+3The content would be but digg would still be dominated by minority groups telling each other how right and great them and their minority viewpoint are. These groups seem to think if they can present the same fantasy reality on digg enough times the real reality will somehow catch up and align itself with them.
This will be the year for linux. Ron Paul can still be made president. Microsoft is going bankrupt. If you pirate movies you are contributing to humanity. The army's about to occupy the USA!!! All drugs should be legal because alcohol is bad, and also the legal drinking age should be younger than digg's teenage audience. Sarah Palin's a slut and a lier. McCain is seven types of evil. Obama farts rainbows. Anyone held responsible for their actions has had their constitutional right to free speech violated.
And now that we've discussed the REAL issues that the MAINSTREAM MEDIA IS CENSORING AND IGNORING, let's look at some more stupid pictures.

- AriaStar, on 09/24/2008, -1/+4Some people take things that really don't matter to life waaaaay too seriously. Personally I favor banning users who are gaming the system and working together to Digg down stories submitted by people outside their group while Digging each other up.
And since when has the Wiki ever been a credible course of information? I can edit it right now to say that Alex is the love child of a tryst between Prager and Kevin and Jay.
And speaking of a sensationalist "article", or submission... - Raiper, on 09/24/2008, -1/+4Yeah, we have way to much power, PLEASE take it away...
- JackpotCity, on 09/24/2008, -1/+2It's up to the community to police the community; but that is a lot harder said than done.
The only way I see this happening is with the introduction of restrictions on how many posts, comments and Diggs you can post in a certain time period and perhaps also limiting the amount of time any given users content can go front page.
There are some smart folks out there, I'm sure the new algorithm is possible to develop. - sfacets, on 09/24/2008, -1/+4Good constructive submission, hope the Digg team look through this and manage to sort something out. Banning those users was a good first step, but more needs to be done.
- gospe1337, on 09/24/2008, -2/+1Hopefully Digg doesn't turn into the Bizzaro-FOX News.
