        He was a key proponent of making available for public use the bandwidth that makes the internet possible - there was an existing military infrastructure that the military monopolized and Al Gore pushed to make a portion of it available. He really took the initiative to create the internet... the problem is, people tend to think that the internet was created by god or evolved by itself rather then being created as a valuable tool for commerce, not just a vehicle for porn and myspace- the republican party played on the people's misunderstanding and exploited it - also, it's allegedly top secret how much bandwidth exists so he can't really defend himself without alluding to a national secret. It was like you had a picture of bigfoot that was classified, and I told every body, 'he claims to have proof of bigfoot' - sounds crazy right?

Even if you don't go to a big name school, google what has been discovered at your school, you may just be surprised. At the end of the video, he posts the sign in some strange location, but that door is definitely not the one to 3424 BH. The "commemorative sheet" was moved to a double door that goes into 3424 BH, the one that you see earlier in the video with the Sharpie on it.

We are talking about the medium that has changed everybody's life in the Western Hemisphere, so this is not exactly irrelevant.
      It might also have been done with a simple photo. Or an expensive CNN report. Or a memorial website.
