- notmark, on 10/12/2007, -1/+56Seeing Jim Rome without his goatee is like seeing a tiny, tiny man get knocked over by a 6 foot 5 inch football player who doesn't like being unfavorably compared to a female tennis player.
- sterntastic223, on 10/12/2007, -2/+55That sentence is like a post modern mobius strip right there.

- rasterbator, on 10/12/2007, -13/+3He threw the table out of the way and then hit him with a Phantom tackle. No punch thrown. What a bitch. Chris.
- redlantern64, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16I was watching the Jim Rome-"Chris" Everett show LIVE when it happened. It was hilarious! ESPN2 went to other programming for about 15 mins or so, and then they finally cut back to a shaken Rome talking about how they just had an "unfortunate incident".
- wepeel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5anyone have a video of this phantom sack?
- longboarder543, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8The Jon Stewart Crossfire clip isn't loading for me. Here's the whole thing on google video:

- pt4117, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1When I saw this title I thought, "They better have the the 'Chris Everett' thing.". It's just priceless. I never get sick of watching it.

C'mon ... just one more ... Mike Tyson is an ear munching illiterate and a disgrace to his people.
Don't tell him I said that. - bemenaker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Patscru, Iron Mike WAS a good fighter, before he went batshiat crazy. How I used to love watching him fight in the mid 80's. (yes, long before his cannibalistic ways came forth)
- dshPls, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8"the iron mike disses STOP NOW. the man is a legend. killer in the ring. don't hate"
Did he "fck you intill you loved him?"
- deanbrooks, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26"I'm not a racist, that's what's so insane about this."

via http://www.russellbrandfansite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=561&sid=3e04e7266b3e30f93affc6ea3521e3d2- DJCult, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20Indeed it does. When she ID's him as an 'expert', his facial expression is fantastic. Every second of that interview is sweet to me, like a juicy orange.

- astrotrain, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Where is Gene Simmons from Kiss on the Mike Douglas show (1974)?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3B590zDEcE
Now that was a sight to see back then, men and women in 1970's attire... and then Gene Simmons
in Kiss makeup and costume coming out for the interview.- goldylocks7621, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I was a little scared at one point there. He's ***** creepy.

- ShBm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's what I was thinking. I've only seen one good one where he was open and not just saying random *****. It was with Suchin Pac or someone.
- BrK1, on 10/12/2007, -27/+7Can we just once have a list with 9 elements, or 13, or some other number besides 10?
Top-ten lists are too mundane, unless of course you just want to blog-spam.- ABadInAlbany, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20We had a 9 item list the other day, and of course someone asked, why not 10?
who cares? - sterntastic223, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1dude, shut up.
- Scrappy1850, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0ill do a list of "top ten fingers" or "top ten digits! (the number kind)" a lot of our society is based on 10. live with it
- ABadInAlbany, on 10/12/2007, -4/+20We had a 9 item list the other day, and of course someone asked, why not 10?

- RCola, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Rosie O'donnell and Tom Selleck? That was a classic. Can't find the video though.
- Stryder81, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0If you go on youTube I think you can type " Celeb Feuds " Or something like that you will see the Tom Selleck & Rosie Moment you're talking about.
I remember seeing it there a few weeks back.
- Stryder81, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0If you go on youTube I think you can type " Celeb Feuds " Or something like that you will see the Tom Selleck & Rosie Moment you're talking about.
- Supertrout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Beck interview with MTV. Talked a bunch of gibberish, took of his boot, inspected it intensely for a good 30 seconds, threw it the interviewer, and then walked off.
- Dested, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Haha I love mike tyson.

What about "Ricky Gervais meet...Gary Shandling". I was cringing throughout. - LiquidChimera, on 10/12/2007, -0/+20Does anyone remember when Steve-O was on the Adam Corolla show

- Locke40, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2hip-hop is dead
- Stryder81, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I remember that Vanilla Ice moment I didn't know it was serious untill people on other shows were talking about it.
Poor guy, they manipulated him into being what he became, so I understand where he was coming from.
Same thing with Manilli Vanilli -=/
The Cross Fire Episode was the best by far. CrossFire went off the air shortly after that episode. lol
Tucker is now on Msnbc...More liberal this time around :) - NealeT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Missing one of the most awkward moments ever... Richard Gere on Letterman. At the end of the Interview Gere says he'll never come back. I've never been able to find it since.
- ezweave, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yeah, but Letterman is a jackass corporate lackey. Case in point: Letterman got pwned (I said it) by Harvey Pekar for bowing to GE.
- petepetepete, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17How about Dice walking out on CNN
http://youtube.com/watch?v=6M9C6a1K0nI- Fuckwad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes. That beats all the rest so far...

- Nudar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3What happened to Jay Leno's interview of Bobcat Goldthwaite? Amazingly, I'm unable to find the video on youtube. For those who don't remember, Bobcat set fire to the couch on The Tonight Show.
- Harabeck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Did anyone else notice that the sound on the Tom Cruise interview has like that demonic 2 voices at once thing goin?
- inarguable, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Yeah, he was channelling L. Ron
- Amadeus2490, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9"Did anyone else notice that the sound on the Tom Cruise interview has like that demonic 2 voices at once thing goin?"
No, it was probably just because you're on psychiatric drugs. - Nudar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2"No, it was probably just because you're on psychiatric drugs."
More likely, he's off his meds.
- howismydriving, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15They forgot James Brown on Coke from a local tv station. Its hilarious.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dD57zixG9vQ- MrDarkSim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2He was high on God!
- genghisjuan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That was probably the funniest interview I have ever seen. As soon as I read the headline for this article I thought of that one!
- WraTH017, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Cruise knows the history of psycology? In what way... In the same way creationist know the history of the world and the birth of the universe?
What a windbag.- scotsman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cruise is simply the most arrogant, conceited, idiotic asshole I've ever seen. Someone please shoot him.
- Angostura, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4What? No Paxman v Michael Howard?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=bfYJwOuxbpA - DevilotX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Man, we need more tyson interviews
- randjamal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Also missing is Joe Namath incredibly drunk being interviewed by Suzy Kolber.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=og2Nj6hFGF4 - Kyle660, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Great. You pricks killed double viking. :P
- ScopeDopeUSAF, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Mike Tyson is simply the most amazing jackass ever to grace my television screen. And is it just me or does that Chris Everett guy have some anger issues or what :)
- bemenaker, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Was that really clever the funniest accidental joke on here today? :)
- bemenaker, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Was that really clever the funniest accidental joke on here today? :)
- Lnomis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I once saw a TV program covering this subject. There was a rock-star type who was out of his mind on drugs being interviewed. He took off his shoes and threw them at the camera. I think it's fairly famous.
Anyone know the interview I'm talking about? I've tried searching for it, but I can't find anything.- bemenaker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You're talking about Beck.
- counterplex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18I think this list is worth it just for the Jon Stewart vs. Tucker Carlson video :)
- mobbo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+14I'd never seen it before now... WOW does Jon destroy them. Justifiable...
- cadavreexquis, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21Ahh, the annihilation of Crossfire. One of the finest moments in television history.
- krazymelvin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Anyone know where I can find Jon Stewart's video in response to that interview
I found this link, but the videos been removed
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6cVpOADoLg
Thanks - rdjenk6, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Jon Stewart is the greatest thing to happen to news television in recent years. Congrats to Jon for not only attacking the show but for also making significant points about our political system.
- JohnDorian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@krazy
http://throwawayyourtv.com/2006/04/jon-stewart-crossfire-appearence.html - chthonic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2this is great, but where is the awkward? its hilarious
- tdogg241, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Any TV appearance by GG Allin was hilariously bizarre.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4aEB2kd474 - sigafoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+18"I only let women interview me if they have fornicated with me" - Mike Tyson
...best pick up line ever - metalfalsetto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I just saw Crispin Glover speak this weekend, and he explained the entire flawed set-up for his fabled Letterman experience. Good stuff.
Although not as "EXTREME!" as some of the interviews listed, Arsenio Hall should get an honorable mention just for his collective awfulness — I don't think there was ever anyone with their own talk show who lacked the basic ability to interview. His interviews could be broken down into two categories:
1) Someone he was friends with:
"Aw, dog, remember that time we were out in Vegas? HOOOO! HA!" Etc.
2) Someone he knew nothing about:
"So, tell me about your latest (album, movie, TV show)... Right, uh huh. So how'd you feel about that?" (Fingers on chin, awkward pauses.)- totorototoro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1And don't forget when his friend Eddie Murphy took pity on him and showed up to boost ratings?
Arsenio "come on. how about doing that 'I'm Gumby, dammit' voice, man?"
Eddie: "no"
- totorototoro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1And don't forget when his friend Eddie Murphy took pity on him and showed up to boost ratings?
- guice, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5They missed one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rAC9t4nNxjU
(Westboro Baptist Church interview) - cevil203, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5how could michael jackson not be on the top 10!? he was so sad when he was on 60 minutes, you thought the host was gonna throw him off and say its 5 minutes! he tried so hard to make michael look like a mammal, and mike just answered the easiest questions wrong.
"would you let your children sleep a bed with another 40 year old man?"
"(silent stare with smile on face)(3 seconds later) yesssss" - thewump, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Damn - that Jon Stewart on Crossfire clip is profound. I love that guy.
- TheOtherGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Meg Ryan on Parkinson
(*gasp* A non-American awkward interview)- diggnik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1good one
or Rod Hull and Emu with a much younger Parky - sepherenia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That was the one I was going to mention: I will dislike Meg Ryan forever just because she was such a cow in that interview.
- diggnik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1good one
- tinselt0wn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1A more awkward moment would be when Whitney Houston (forgot who she was talking to), responds to allegations of drugs use by saying, "First of all, let's get one thing straight, crack is cheap. I make too much money to ever smoke crack."
edit: diane sawyer - conwayblue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I hate Jim Rome. He thinks he's God's gift to the Earth.
- Scoresheet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Am i the only one who doesn't think 2-3 of these were awkward at all? the Michael Richards interview was a tremendous piece of television, the Barbara waters bit was just unfairly taken out of context, and the George Michael clip was from a documentary about him, taken out of context.
What about the numerous times the phrase "thinking on your feet" has been lost to George W Bush during interviews?
Also, whilst I know it's an American website, what about, off the top of my head, the parkinson interview with Meg Ryan? or the clive anderson interview with the BeeGees? or the sex pistols swearing interview? or the first "Have i got news for you?" after the Angus Deyton prostitution story? or the Paxman/Howard "17 questions" interview? all of which were more awkward than the ones on this list. - coyo7e, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5No Richard Pryor coked out, talking toa 90-year old texan and making fake beating-off motions on camera while he curses up a storm?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=EvSgPowOO8c - ArchieAndrews, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Probably not list-worthy but that Woz interview on Colbert was pretty awkward.
- lukedowning, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Awesome.
I was just thinking about when Everett tackled Jim Rome.
Rome is a jerk. This is funny though.- ebnielsen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That was painfully to watch and I had only seen one of those clips before today, Vanilla Ice on MTV. When I heard he was going to be on the retire his video, I knew something interesting was going to happen. Vanilla Ice all ways seemed a little unstable, but I couldn't have guess what happened. I was surprised that the Curt Lauder/Madonna/Courtney Love interview on a tower in front of the MTV VMA's wasn't included. You can clearly see that Curt and Madonna would have given any thing to be some place else.
- nextman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1what about george galloway vs sky new reporter
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=9071731896689197790 - MessiR10, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1lol i always thought Rome was a tough guy that would beat up a guy if he got in his face...he talks like a bad ass on his show lol
- AceTracer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"Damn, Vanilla Ice almost just brained the ***** out of me. I need to seriously reconsider my criteria for handing out baseball bats."
What a genuinely awesome line. -
