5 Questions Season Two of Heroes Had Better F#@king Answer
cracked.com — we’ll re-examine some of the loose threads and questions left over from the first season of Heroes, and make some predictions about what will happen next. Hopefully this will help our readers get back up to speed before Monday ’s season premiere. Also, this will give us a good excuse to post several pictures of Ali Larter in her panties.

- mrgreenjeans, on 10/10/2007, -0/+36Hiro may be his own father? Like Philip J. Fry is his own grandfather, just gives you the heebee jeebees.
- taladas, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14That Hiro is his own father is a ridiculous "theory". (I use the word loosely, hence the quotes.) But I do believe that Hiro's father is Takezo Kensai.. I don't think he's a time traveller as much as I think he is immortal. Not like Claire where he could walk through a woodchipper and come out unharmed, but more like elves in fantasy novels--long-lived, but able to be killed by a sword to the heart or whatever.
- arashinogarou, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Except that the actor playing Takezo Kensei (why is everyone spelling it "Kensai"?) is European, not Asian. We've seen nothing that would indicate that Kaito Nakamura is not really Hiro's father either.

- Armitage2k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1There is always the theory that Hiro IS the legendary Takezo Kensai, and it would create a wierd time-space loop thingy, but WHO CARES!!

- saiyanate, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14While imprisoned at the paper factory in Texas, Sylar ate the cockroach that crawled into his cell. It conferred some kind of cockroachy, insecty abilities, thus allowing him to heal and escape. That's also why he could survive after getting stabbed in the chest, and why it makes sense that he would crawl into a sewer instead of simply disappearing behind some bushes or down an alley.
Perhaps the Boogeyman is Uluru?- dunnylovehun, on 10/10/2007, -0/+27because as everyone knows, if cockroaches are known for one thing it's being able to withstand massive stab wounds to the chest
- thcobbs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I know they keep wiggling a lot if I don't stomp them well.
- anonym41414, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1If the big villain for season 2 is a giant Australian rock, I'm gonna be pissed. Briefly. Before I change the channel.

- MerryMortician, on 10/10/2007, -8/+0dugg for HEROES mention. I am very happy about the new season starting!!!!!
- thcobbs, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Two days later and it could have been a birthday present... the ***** bastards!
- ps3udov3ctor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18I'm looking forward to season two!
Sylar's alive since they keep showing new clips of him in the season two previews.
I think Nathan and Peter are alive. Nathan took Peter up high, dropped him, and got to a safe distance, while Peter still has Claire's invulnerability, so he could survive the explosion. That's my guess.
And Kristen Bell joins this season. Damn there's some hotties on that show.- Synn, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3Peter and Nathan are both alive. It's in the previews.
- TajesMahoney, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3no way. Veronica Mars? are you sure about this. Wow. It just got ten times better.
- Patogrande, on 10/10/2007, -14/+3buried for cracked.
- Synn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Because you will make a difference.
- NeoTEKK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Okay, here's one question I am YET to find anyone that can answer. Now, I'm not 100% sure if it's that I missed something or what (I'm almost hoping I am because otherwise I'll go mad).
I take you back to the scene where Sylar makes it "snow" at his mom's place. If you remember, before ever arriving he made a call...to whom, is beyond me...but he said he was "on his way" or something of that nature. Immediately afterwards, there's another un-related scene about someone else (Patrelli?). THEN, he finally arrives at his mom's place. She says, and I quote, "Oh, I wish I would've known you were coming I would've cleaned up the place". This obviously tells you right off the bat that Sylar was, in fact, NOT talking to his mom on the phone when he said "on my way". So my question is, WHO the hell did he go to see? And WHERE did he get his friggin sub-zero powers out of nowhere?? Did I really miss something here or what? Someone please put me out of my misery.
"Mr. I-sack! Mr. I-sack!"- Jacob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10He had the freeze power since the beginning of the season remember when he froze that dude at the house where the girl lived. The house where parkman first used his telepathy.
- JessicaChrono, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Right. You have to remember that Sylar had been killing and stealing powers for awhile. When he was working with Chandra Suresh, he figured out how to steal powers.
- elf586, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6i guess no one else really caught this but when Peter Petrelli was being taught by the invisible man (i forget his name) the invisible man said that peter was not the first person he taught....so my guess is he was hesitant to teach peter because the other guy he taught didnt turn out the way he wanted.....so it is possible that he was the guy worse than sylar as well as who sylar was talking to on the phone...
- ngmcs8203, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I think that was in reference to his partner that died in the graphic novels.
- Armitage2k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1The Invisible man is Ben Kenobi, Peter is Luke.... they are Jedi... just stating the facts.
- mythicflux, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'm pretty sure he was talking to his mother. I see what you're describing but it seems logically that after he called his mother suddenly late at night asking to come other that she didn't have time to clean up.
- Kypt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11It is possibly that he was in fact speaking to his mom. His mom hardly ever listens so even though he said he was on his way, she was still in lalaland. Just like the sandwich thing which went something like this (not exact quotes but u get the jist of it).
Sylar: "You don't listen to me"
Mom: "Sure I do"
Sylar: "You're making me a sandwich..."
Mom: "So?"
Sylar: "I told you not to!" - Elissar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0You're right, it is a little troubling. Perhaps he was talking with the "way worse" person. Also, I want to know what jerk had ice-powers, powers I'd put in the top 5, and then let themselves be killed by Sylar...either he was REALLY smart when he was starting out, or someone was a little too trusting (perhaps rigthfully so?).
- Jacob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10He had the freeze power since the beginning of the season remember when he froze that dude at the house where the girl lived. The house where parkman first used his telepathy.

- keyboardduder, on 10/10/2007, -9/+39How about they give us a reason why the last episode sucked so ***** badly?
How about how there was more action in eps 25 than in 26?
How about if there isn't any more action, i'm gonna stop watching?
Its was a buildup for nothing. Wow, everyone got together, you didnt even need hayden to defeat him. Wow everyone has powers and they used them for good or evil. Sylar's defeat was pathetic and it ruined my night.- jamima69z, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14agree 100%. i used to hate tv for making crappy shows, but now i hate it even more for making good shows and then wrecking them in the space of a season or two.
- parithes, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1The thing is I don't believe Sylar was ever intended to be the true antagonist. This character worse then Sylar that Molly speaks of is going to be their arch nemesis. I believe they even may end up making a brief alliance with Sylar to fight this character. Season 1 was just developing characters and testing the waters. Season 2 will be the meat and potato's and I am very excited to see where they take it.
- GrantTheGr8, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Perhaps. Or maybe it will suck. Time will tell.

- mlvassallo, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1From the helpful NBC spoiler commercials it doesn't look like Sylar was even defeated... I almost kicked my TV when they showed his face about 4 times in the trailer for Season 2. I mean I knew he was coming back but I would have liked some surprise...
- Aadain, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9I agree, I loved the whole season... except the finale. It just seemed like they ran our of steam and/or money for the special effects that would have been required. Sylar got smacked around a bit and then got stuck through the chest with a sword. Big whoop! Even the smacking around part was pedestrian compared to some of the other beatdowns in the show. A+ for the season. D- for the finale. Hopefully they will learn and make season two finale a huge deal to make up for this last finale.
- monkeyboy7706, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Yeah I was expecting a big battle of powers between them, after all they are both nuclear. When Hiro was in the future and they started fighting it was behind a door, I thought that in the final episode we would see it. But als it was not meant to be.
Also peter has Hiros ability to teleport, why did Nathan have to take him away??
That finale could have been so much better.
I was also wishing Sylar would be killed as I don't think the character cuts it as a bigtime bad guy. To be honest they need someone who wants world domination. Not a collector who's only motive is to get more powers. Come on he doesn't even aspire to owning an underground lair and white cat.- ZebraCrew, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10or why didn't he just fly himself away? because he lost control of all the powers he had which lead to him exploding.
- Armitage2k, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Hey people... Sylar had a realization that he was going to use his powers for GOOD.... he knew that someone was gunna go nuclear, and he also knew it wasn't HIMSELF... so it must be Peter... who also had the power.... so he needed to kill Peter to save the city... even Peter realized it in the end...
- moocow1452, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2It was the Mystery Sock, it's his fault.
- neodorian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I respectfully disagree. Pretty much every classic comic-book story ends with the day saved but the villains slinking away to lick their wounds and leave you wondering when they will strike again. Also, this is a TV serial. They have to keep you guessing and wanting more. They just never seem to live up to people's expectations. I was cool with the ending knowing there was more to come.
- jamima69z, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14agree 100%. i used to hate tv for making crappy shows, but now i hate it even more for making good shows and then wrecking them in the space of a season or two.
- TypeEE, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Season one got me hooked from ep1 to saving the cheerleader. It ran downhill then after, yet I"ll see how it goes for season 2.
- BbIT, on 10/10/2007, -4/+0its the same thing that happend to "Family Guy". Season 1 sucked ass but it was interesting to watch, then they cancelled it. imagine if there wasnt a bad ass season 2?? i guess my point is; if you dont like the first season, just chill and wait for season 2. if season 2 sucks, then stop watching it.
- Academicballa, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3I just finished watching season 1 and I'm NOT watching season 2 until I can watch them all at the same time. Lost is taking my week to week watching up.
- bigtech64, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Thanks for sharing your insight. I'll alert the media.
- gessen1958, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Well OK but you do know LOST will not be airing any new episodes until February?
- mretx, on 10/10/2007, -6/+6Heroes is good but it cant be compared to LOST in any way. Heroes is great only while you are watching it but Lost has certain quality which makes you think about it long after it's over and then you go back to watch it again. I know people are getting impatient of the mysteries of the Lost but given the attention span of youtube generation what else can you get.
I just hope people stop comparing Heroes and Lost and enjoy both of them in their own way.- monkeyboy7706, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6I personally have to save up 5 or 6episodes of Lost to watch in one go just so I can see something actually be answered while I watch it. Much as I like lost it really annoys me sometimes.
Lost has had questions crop up in series 1 that are still not resolved. Heroes tends to answer questions within a few episodes but replace them with new ones as it goes.
I agree they should not be compared. They are only compared in the context of being highly rated shows. - neodorian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5I agree. I like both shows but the only real similarities are that they are both serials and both have a geeky scifi fanbase. Lost is all about the mysteries and Heroes is more of a comic book adventure.

- RabidFurby, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4"Nathan and Peter Petrelli. Man those guys were tools. Please say they’re never coming back."
Say what? Have you watched the show pal? Thats like killing Captain James T. Kirk after season one!- monkeyboy7706, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Peter is a good character but he should really be a great character.
- unearth, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Everybody picks on Peter for being emo, and that just makes him more emo. It's a vicious cycle.
- M724, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1SPOILER: Hiro will go back and contact Isaac, bring him to the future, and then send him back after they're done with him and the Haitian does his thing.
- phpchris, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10I'm amazed cracked.com managed to fit something on to 1 page..
- mikeruiz7, on 10/10/2007, -5/+21After that finale you expect me to care about season 2? 20-odd episodes of building up to one final "battle" that was more like a backyard quarrel than anything else. Hell no I'm not going to waste--what's that? Kristen Bell? In season 2?
... when's it start, again? - potterboy, on 10/10/2007, -12/+2"Fan theories can be eerily accurate at times–the guys in alt.movies.lotr had the ending for Lord of the Rings: Return of the King nailed down months before that movie came out. Still, for every accurate fan theory, there’s about 20 that are utter *****." Maybe because Return of the King was a book about 50 years before it was a movie! IDIOT!

- uzusan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm
- tdogg241, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Sylar does somehow have healing powers though, since he was shot numerous times throughout the first season. The first time he appeared in the show, Parkman shot him down and he got right back up and disappeared.
- fanclerks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Though you have a point, he might just pull a Neo and stop the bullets?
- arashinogarou, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I've always wondered if he used his telekinesis to stop the bullets, and just pretended to be shot. The only time (other than Hiro getting all stabby-stabby) that I recall him being seriously hurt was when he was captured by the Haitian.
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1There seems to be some "kickback" when Sylar stops bullets. Mohinder fired a shot at Sylar's head in "Parasite". He stopped it, but not without his head snapping back a good bit.
He can stop the bullets, but he still takes some of the force.
That may explain why he was tossed back when Parkman and, later, Mr. Bennett shot him (even though no mere handgun could realistically do that to anyone).
- scottique, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3My theory on the "much, much worse" character is Peter/Isaac's girlfriend's father. Remember, the ghostydude who showed up at the end of the season, doing an impression of Dumbledore's post-mortem-exposition to Peter? He's gotta be trouble.
- DYMongoose, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1Check IMDB: Nathan, Peter, Hiro, Ando, Claire and Mohinder all return for the season premier. Unfortunately, Niki does not.
- unearth, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Unfortunately? She had the most excruciatingly boring plotline out of all of the characters. She talks to herself in a mirror and every word out of her mouth has to do with worrying about Micah. Terrible. It would be a blessing if they killed her off, or fixed her character to not suck so much.
- GawtMilk, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Agreed. Her redeeming point was that she was hot...but we've got "The Cheerleader" for that.
- arashinogarou, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1I for one would love for her to suck more.
- Gabberwok, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0You know that IMDB is horribly unofficial until the show actually comes out, right?

- monkeyboy7706, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2There were no really big loose ends for me. The big question is what new powers can they add seeing as they have used most of the main ones already.
Telepathy - done but they could do a broadcasting telepath.
Telekinesis - Done.
Teleportation - Done.
Clairvoyancy - Done.
Flying - Done.
Shapeshifting - Done, kind of.
etc.
About all thats left is X-Ray vision, Empathy and the ability to kill by touch.- shredswithpiks, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4empathy = peter

- unearth, on 10/10/2007, -2/+2Uluru is a gigantic rock monster with tons of powers. Peter Petrelli? Latin word for rock: petra. He might as well be named Rocky McRockstein. http://heroeswiki.com/Uluru
- CrossCrucial, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I think Hiro IS Takezo Kensai. Or at least, whoever wrote the history book got them confused. If a sword wielding time traveler goes back in the past then it would be possible his own exploits would be known in the future. Though, that opens up a whole jar of "Quantum Leap" like questions.
- arashinogarou, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Ummm, not to be an ass or anything, but you do realize that David Anders, a white guy from Oregon, is playing Kensei right? Unless bending time and space somehow allows Hiro to change his own DNA, that's a pretty crappy theory you have there.
EDIT: Then again, you may have something with that "screwed up history" thing. It's quite possible they will portray Kensei as inept and Hiro will somehow be the real hero that Kensei legends are based on. That would be trite, but not unbelievable.- CrossCrucial, on 01/20/2008, -0/+0And yes, in the end, I was right! So whose the ass now? But no one but you and me will ever know. Not like predicting a twist in a TV show is some great claim to fame. haha
And yes I knew the actor portraying the man NAMED Kensei was white. lol. I just had a feeling it was Hiro that did all the feats he grew up idolizing.

- rustchild, on 10/10/2007, -6/+0I'm sorry, but I have a really hard time expecting much out of season 2, considering season 1's DISMAL FAILURE of a finale. All that effort and time spent building up the hero and anti-hero to be these incredibly powerful super-beings, only to have the climactic battle degenrate into a f@#$#@ FIST FIGHT?! A FIST FIGHT??!! REALLY?! I cannot even begin to express my anger at this total let down. I mean, come on, Buffy the Vampire Slayer had season finales with better effects, and it had like 1/3 of the budget! What were they spending their money on, lobster and champagne to celebrate how great their ratings were?
... and don't even get me started about how they killed Linderman off in one of the stupidest throw-away scenes I've ever seen, after spending most of the season building him up as this mysterious and brilliant master puppeteer. I'm guessing they just couldn't afford to renew Malcolm MacDowell's contract.
.... and let's not forget the mind-reading policeman, who's golden shining "destiny" as they put it was to locate the right floor in an office building. Talk about a waste of a character.
.... and I could go on and on. GOD how I was so let down by this show... - bibfortuna, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Dugg up because this made me lol:
"If you venture into certain corners of the Internet, you can even find people speculating that Takezo Kensai is actually Hiro’s father, who is himself a time traveler. Which would explain what he was doing in space with William Shatner throughout the '60s." - x2wenty4x, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Hayden Panettiere is so ***** hot. From what i've read season 2 looks like it will be good.
- Shandooga, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1so true and I don't even dig white chicks that much.

- Shandooga, on 10/10/2007, -7/+1Wow, it's fantasy people: a show. Get over it; it's not that good.
- quadforce, on 10/10/2007, -7/+4The start of the show sucked ass.. the middle started to get better, but the end sucked....
besides... The 4400 > Heroes any day- IndigoMoss, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I thought the start of the show was the best part. It started to get lame when they started giving everyone super powers.
- matt850, on 10/10/2007, -0/+04400 really jumped the shark this year imo - heroes did it better
- Goldbricker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0You're insane. Heroes is far superior.

- serendipity0, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0Sorry for the dupe comment, didn't look like it went thru the first time.
- NeoCortex, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1Why must it be on when I'll be waiting in line for Halo 3? Life isn't fair.
- TajesMahoney, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1My personal theory is that the "boogeyman" is the man Peter had taken care of early in the season, and that peter talks to near the end. Molly said something along the lines of "he can see me when i use my powers". My theory is that Peter had used a combination of time travel and invisibility to see that scene out on the loft. The black guy's power was true sight? and he was able to see peter. It's the only thing that makes snese to me unless they just havnt introduced the character of the boogeyman yet.
- loganhid, on 10/10/2007, -6/+1Heroes is too over-rated. It's alright but not as good as Prison Break
- nblsavage, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1talk about over-rated. Prison Break? eesh
- Goldbricker, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Even a show about a guy that can fly is more realistic than Prison Break.
- TajesMahoney, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0dude, Prison Break will always be trash. Do you know what show they cancelled for Prison Break? Arrested Development. I saw the teaser for this season's prison break. The OTHER brother's now in prison and the original prisoner is going to breka him out? If that's not jumping the shark...
- nilsko, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Is it only me who saw that Sylar was DRAGGED into the manhole?
- JessicaChrono, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I just watched the last few minutes very carefully to see. You really don't see him being dragged. You see a blood trail... But that could easily be the result of "I just got stabbed in the chest therefore I have to drag MYSELF to the manhole." I don't know that's just my take on it.
- Enkhei, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1peter petrelli IS returning, that is a fact. as for his brother it is unclear, though highly likely given the nature of the semi romulus and remus thing going on with them....
- Calcularius, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1I heard in July that they are already filming SEASON 4 of Heroes!!!
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -6/+0Am I the only one who doesn't give a *****? No one will shut up about Lost, Heroes, Battlestar Galactica... So am I seriously the only one who doesn't watch any of it or care?
- DAC1138, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1I watch battlestar. That's it. Lost was terrible, heroes is just overrated, but battlestar has seemed to hold my attention. I don't honestly see what everyone sees in Lost or Heroes. I seriously tried watching each with an open mind only to find they suck.
Before they try and tie up the 5 cliffhangers why don't they just cut to the chase and answer my one question: why are these shows still on? - vdog, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3If you don't like it, bury it and move on. Bitching only makes you look stupid.
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0?
See that? That's called a ***** question mark. It's used to ask questions. Not a bitch mark, a QUESTION mark. I asked a question, and I wanted an answer. If you didn't give one, then isn't your reply just as useless?
- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0?

Yet you come here to tell us how you feel. Do you often enter conversations just to be able to tell everyone involved that you don't care about the subject they are all talking about?- MagicCake, on 10/10/2007, -1/+0If you will take the time to re-read my comment, I was asking a question, not making a statement. I really wanted to know if I was the only one who didn't care. And to answer your question (because I have the mental capacity to actually do that, unlike some people), no, I don't often enter conversations to tell people I don't care. I've patiently ignored countless inane discussions of these ***** TV shows in the past, and this is the first time I've said something about it.

- flipmeat, on 10/10/2007, -6/+2It's just a TV show. Get out of your parent's basements and LIVE. You! Have you ever kissed a girl? Hm?
- TrojanGuy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Best line:
This extremely interesting development was just as quickly swept aside when everyone present was distracted by something. It might have been Matt Parkman getting his head stuck in a pot of honey.- hitmyspot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0yeah, particularly enjoy the photo and list of powers and weaknesses on the side that accompany this.
- rmeddy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1What about Richard Roundtree's posthumous memory powers?
- Gabberwok, on 10/10/2007, -2/+0I'm sorry, but first NBC made the finale of Heroes suck, and then they quit iTunes. They can go to hell. (I apologize Hiro, as you're the only character left that doesn't make me vomit in my own mouth...)
- hitmyspot, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I prefer that you can download for free and watch with ads. If they start this and it becomes successful, maybe all shows will start to be available for free download. Soon after I'm sure prices for ad free shows will drop, so we will all be happy.
- djAnakin, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2This article is retarded. Of course these questions will be answered. This isn't Lost.
Sylar is alive.
Nathan and Peter are rad.
Evolution takes place over a long period of time. Heroes has thusfar been about the latest generation of people with abilities.
Lots.
The new bad guy.
There I just answered all their retarded questions. - mustamike, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Buried for not having high resolution images of attractive women in panties.
