Maybe it was. As the article mentioned there are now a number of similar applications for other operating systems. It's ridiculous that the US Patent Office has protected an innovation that is now far from unique. (see comment)

@Peck You're splitting hairs. Like I said the origin of the word 'Britain' referred to the whole British Isles and it still commonly does today. I didn't even mention the UK. Stop trying to politicise simple geographic terms, it's pathetic. @Nitesmoke Y … (see comment)

Some people might find it controversial, but Britain can refer to Ireland too, not just Great Britain. The original Latin, Britannia, referred to the entire British Isles. (see comment)
