More and more jobs require a college degree these days. But if you don't have one, or don't want one, don't fret; there's still plenty of degree-free work out there.

CashNetUSA wanted to find out where in the US it's easiest to find a job without a degree, so they analyzed US Census Bureau data and job ads to work out the ratio of people with high school as the maximum level of education per entry-level job across the country's states and most-populated cities.

The best city for finding non-degree jobs is Fort Myers, Florida, where there are 1.2 non-graduates for every entry-level role. New York City, on the other hand, is the trickiest job market for those without college degrees, with 41.48 non-grads per role.

When it comes to states, Maine (3.05), West Virginia (3.37), and South Carolina (3.49) are the best regions for college-free job seekers. At the other end of the scale, the most competitive states are New York (21.94), California (13.58) and New Jersey (12.59).
