Mountain Dew has been offering different flavors for decades, variations like Code Red, Voltage and the previously Taco Bell exclusive Baja Blast have been instant hits. A few years ago, PepsiCo and Mountain Dew tried their hand at tropical Baja sodas, and now, for the 20th anniversary of Baja Blast, we have the two newest additions to the line-up: Laguna Lemonade and Point Break Punch.

But are they good?

Laguna Lemonade

The most unique among Dew's Baja contingent, it's incredibly rare to get a take on traditional lemonade from Mountain Dew. But this time, the mango they've added takes over the taste of lemon and sugar, so be prepared for that going in. Laguna Lemonade might possibly be the most fruity Baja around for something that's not labeled as a fruit punch.

Point Break Punch

Now for the actual fruit punch. This one's mostly just pineapple, despite all that red food coloring. No berries, melons or any of the usual fruit punch fare, you can't really get a sense of anything. While the Lemonade had more of a mango juice texture to it, this one is more medicine-y, similar to syrup in consistency, doing its best Hi-C and Kool-Aid impersonations. In the traditional sense, this will be the more popular of the two flavors, because pineapple is more mainstream than mango, but for me, Laguna Lemonade is the winner here, despite both being quite good options. Nothing is better than a cold soda on a hot summer day.
